Dr. Nabil Adam is a Co-Principle Investigator on a brand new medical research grant proposal just submitted to Department of Defense within the past month. The three-year proposal, “FGF Receptor Signaling in Breast Cancer Dormancy and Reawakening in the Bone Marrow,” focuses on investigating why and how breast cancer cells lie dormant for years and then reemerge and how to prevent a lethal recurrence. This research could help medical professionals make new strides in detecting, treating, and preventing breast cancer. He plans to pursue this study together with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
